
The U.S. federal government has developed the voluntary "Central Vaccine Recovery Program" to collect all unused doses of 2009 H1N1 influenza vaccine. Providers with an assigned PIN may take advantage of this voluntary program to return any unused monovalent 2009 H1N1 flu vaccine doses remaining in their practice.
Returning VaccineThe Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the California Department of Public Health has discontinued distribution of the 2009 monovalent H1N1 flu vaccine, as of July 30th 2010. Calpanflu is no longer available for ordering.
SupplyThe shelf life for existing supplies of the 2009 monovalent H1N1 Vaccine has been shortened. All remaining doses of sanofi pasteur multi-dose vials will expire by September 15, 2010, regardless of the date on the label.
